GEORGE HARRISON / PAUL McCARTNEY "Daughter of the Little Girl Tape" -- The Little Girl Tape Vol. 2 A collaboration between MCP and Darthdisc If you liked the Little Girl Tape... here's more. The main interview (track 1) is a visit to George by a young girl who had been diagnosed with a terminal disease, and -- the mechanics aren't known to us -- was invited for a visit, along with a friend. Based on some of the conversation topics, the tape seems to date to late 1977. Track 2 sounds as if George followed the girls out to their car to bid them farewell, but our source insists that it was actually recorded on a return visit a year later, when the girl who was ill had apparently recovered, and stopped by to tell George she was still alive. Track 3 is an encounter with Paul, from the early 1980's. It is unknown whether the young lady who recorded it was either of those who visited George. NOTE: This disc (not unlike "The Little Girl Tape") is truly for completists. The sound quality in the main interview is...decent but sometimes trying. It is, after all, a tape of a conversation that took place, apparently, during a lunch visit, with dishes and silver clanking away. The shorter interviews on tracks 2 and 3 were taped during enounters with George and Paul outdoors, with all the attendant traffic noise, etc. that you would expect. We got rid of some of the most obtrusvie noises in the main interview, but didn't want to tamper too much with the sound of the event itself. Consider yourself warned, and done come crying to us if you think the sound is awful.
